The home assistance service for youth is an opportunity for youth and families with multiple interventions aimed to strengthening of educational vocation of the parents and to develop operating procedures that provide alternative educational options for the children, if that is not possible to promote and develop the same within the nucleus.
It 'was launched by the Reggio Calabria Local Council in 2001 with funding from the Law 285/98.
The priority of home assistance service for youths is the promotion and education support in relationship with the children of those
families that for special living conditions can see compromised, temporary or permanent the pedagogical function and orientation towards children.
In particular, the A.D.M objectives are:
- to support and strengthen the educational activity of family unit, that for various reasons, can not be fully vocation training of children;
- offer to the families the opportunity to organize the free time of their children in a pedagogically oriented, outside school hours;
- contrast and retrieve the educational neglect and the youths negligence.
The Service provides the following services:
- Support for learning problems and school integration
- To reduce the risk of being excluded and deviance
- Support and heading family management
- Activities oriented towards emancipation and the socialization of the youth and the nucleus.
- Support and Improvement of relational networks
- Help in using the opportunities and direct services for youths
