Umbria Tour
The Cooperative Skinner, in collaboration with the Municipality of Reggio Calabria, organized by the two June 5 saw a major cultural event and training of users whose children were members of the Socio-Educational Center and their families.
It was an activity that is part of the annual program agreed with the Social Services Department of the Municipality of Reggio Calabria and with families of children users of the Day Centre, which was held in Umbria, with residence at the Center for Living "Le Salette "Salma, near Nocera Umbra.
The interesting excursion, realized thanks to the sensitivity of the Public who has given a coach and two drivers, had as its goal the discovery of the greatest interest in the region of Umbria and, in this context, a thorough visit to the Waterfall Marmore .
The boys, accompanied by some operators of the Center, have discovered with great interest over the beautiful scenery, stopping to admire the play of water, all in a context of high environmental and landscape impact and a day of light mist, which gave a vision of fairy-tale to the whole trip, as attested by the many pictures and home movies, which can be viewed on the site www.skinner.it.
The space and the charm of the typical landscape of Umbria have been a therapeutic and relaxing on children, who have known and appreciated the beauty of new territories.
The excursions in the woods and exploration of natural environments has allowed all children and adults, the exciting direct knowledge, through a guide, the characteristics of flora and fauna typical Umbrian Apennines.
Also, stay in Umbria, and was cheered by the high level of hospitality dall’affabilitą of Living Centre "Le Salette" Salma and, in this context, have been appreciated cuisine and regional dishes.
The excursion to Umbria has been further enriched by the trip to Assisi, with visits to places of life and works of St. Francis and St. Clare. In addition, Roccaporena and Cascia revived the miracles of Santa Rita and the whole group will be focused in prayer.
Gubbio has delighted all the peculiarities of the city, you could enjoy the view from the lookout and some have recalled seeing the same places in the television drama of Don Matteo.
Almost all participants have stopped to admire the statues of the Madonna and two shepherd children: Melanie and Maximin who did not know.
Father Heliodorus, with much love and clarity, said the apparition of Our Lady of La Salette in France, focusing on the meaning and importance of prayer.
After three days intensely lived the return was marked by joy in the experience made and discussions for the selection of the next trip, to discover the regions of Italy.
