Integrate home assistance service is one of the interventions provided for no self-sufficiency by ASP 5.

It is a service whose purpose is to satisfy the needs of all subjects of any age, with the need for ongoing support, which can vary from only a social assistance (cleaning, delivery of hot meals, psychological support, administrative formalities, etc..) mixed social and health interventions (nursing, rehabilitation activities, assistance from the podiatrist, etc.)..

It is directed especially towards those who, because of advanced age, the physical conditions, disabilities expressed, the state of solitude, have situations of potential risk, for which the services in question constitute a factor of reassurance, control and guarantee emergency management.

Its operating modes are finalized to:

• to support continuously people living health in condition of decreased or total lack of self-sufficiency;
• report to health service in a well-timed manner, the form of clinics
  and / or pathological emergency;
• to contrast social exclusion processes of all who suffer of highly debilitating diseases.

The advantages of this type of service are important because the user is in contact with the social context of belonging in a compatible way with the clinical conditions, may continue to organize its daily life, in relation to various activities such as work, education, culture, free time, etc.

The service was launched in 2006 and benefits are provided under day for every day of the week and from 8:00 to 20:00 and benefits are approved in advance by the Reggio Calabria ASP service ADI No. 5

The operational team consists of physiotherapists, speech therapists, nurses, psychologists and social workers.
