The home assistance service for persons with disabilities was launched in 1996 and appears to be a service very welcome and expected by users.
Its priorities are:
- to contribute significantly to improving the life quality of the patient and his family;
- to cause a gradual improvement or evolution of family instability;
- to avoid and hold down the risks of family and social results deterioration;
- to allow the disabled to remain in its normal surrounding, reducing the possibility to use residential facilities;
- to support the family in order to assist the disabled to develop and maintain adequate living conditions in the relational and environment context in which he lives;
- to activate a process aimed at examine the needs expressed and the initial conditions of each situation, to define and evolve positively the same, so as to exclude chronic conditions and crystallized on welfare performance;
- to Promote and achieve social integration processes of the patient in their communities;
- to set up the processes of environmental isolation and / or relationships in which many users live;
- to reactivate family ties and / or friendships;
- to enhance existing informal resources in each community;
- to activate, along with other local and community subjects a process of local partnership, on common objectives, with the intent to implement a network intervention system that aims to convey a shared planning community groups, voluntary and social cooperation.
