Compared with other communities for persons with psychiatric problems, the House Hotel is very different, especially in light of a statute that gives it special treatment.

This is, in fact, a structure created while was still operating the Reggio Calabria Psychiatric Hospital, but that compared to other departments differed greatly, because allowed patients provided partial psycobehavior compensation and, as such, could receive a storage procedure attenuated compared to mental hospitals that were the standard of the time.

Therefore, since its opening in the area, in October 1991, assumed the connotation of "boundary" structure between the territory and mental hospital, in fact from the segregation custody, in the time, it became  a community with a high rehabilitation value, since patients "crossed" daily the threshold territorial allowing a dynamic relationship with the territory.

Located in Catona, in Statue Road and accommodates 20 guests, whose admission and resignation are arranged by the Department of Mental Health.

Over here with every guest is planned and implemented an personalized intervention program, built on the needs of each patient.
